Basic information

This course is the third in a series of four taster workshops with our new instructor, Áta Holíková. The courses are loosely connected. You can try them all or choose the ones you like.

We will focus on landscape painting. We will explain the basic principles of working with watercolor. You will learn how to mix colors, choose the right amount of water, and control pigment intensity. You will understand the steps needed to make a painting work, including how to select a subject that is suitable for painting. We will work from photos as well as existing watercolor artworks.

Notes

The course is suitable for beginners who are just starting to explore the art world, as well as for more experienced creators who want to learn something new or refine and perfect their painting technique.

For the taster workshops, all materials are provided free of charge.

If you have your own motif that you would like to work on using this technique, you are welcome to bring it, and we’ll explore it together.
