Pottery for adults

Basic information

The course focuses on creative hand modeling and shaping, slab building, and activities without using a potter's wheel.

It is suitable for adults and children over 15 years old, whether you’re a returning participant or new to the course. Advanced participants receive individual tasks and have the freedom to create as they wish. Beginners receive personalized attention from the instructor, working at their own pace.

In the semester-long course, you will learn the basics of working with clay, understanding its properties and how to work with it:
– Modeling based on templates, sketches, photos (wall art, etc.)
– Slab and coil building (bowls, flower pots, aroma lamps, etc.)
– Modeling 3D objects (sculptures, etc.)
– Cleaning and retouching
– Various decorating techniques (engraving, stamping)
– Proper glazing techniques (engobes, sponging, dipping, glass frit effects, and artistic glazes)

Each lesson, you can choose from a set theme or create something entirely from your imagination. Once your creations are finished and fired, you can take them home with you.
